Who should get a bike fit?
Everyone can benefit from a bike fit! If you are new to cycling getting started in the right position and posture is important to ensure you enjoy cycling and prevent injury. A competetive cyclist can be helped in acheiving the most aerodynamic position that is still a position the cyclist can maintain for the entirety of the race. The most common reason people come for a bike fit is they are having pain while cycling.
How long does a bike fit take?
Most bike fittings range from 1-3 hours depending on the severity of the issues and the complexity of the fit. A basic bike fit is 1-2 hours and a comprehenisve fit is usually 2-3 hours.
Do I need to get new parts in a bike fit?
This will depend on your current bike set up and how much we need to change. There are certain aspects that new parts arent needed - raising/lowering the bike seat. If we need to change the reach on the bike then sometimes new stems or handlebars are needed.
How often should I get a bike fit?
Typically, your body can change enough in a few years that a new bike fit could benefit you. This all depends on the situation. If someone has recently gone through any changes, such as a knee surgery, weight loss, or changing of any components another fit might be needed sooner.
